£1.6 million revamp at Colchester Leisure World
1:40pm Thursday 18th October 2012 in News
LEISURE World is hoping a £1.6 million revamp will attract new customers.
Colchester Council said it will not raise prices above inflation to pay for the rennovation, instead relying on new users.
The plans for doubling the size of the gym, creating a new exercise class room and expanding the reception will go on show Friday.
See Friday's Gazette for pictures, plans and the full story.

Because we need more gyms? There's loads popping up. Why not invest in the poor excuse of a pool

The gym does need expanding as it is always very busy but the reception is fine , spend the money on cleaners please
they should use the money to invest in cleaners and cleaning products, its often filthy especially the swimming pool changing rooms

Also the changing rooms are getting prematurely aged by the kids swimming classes, they treat the place like a play ground and no one is there to keep an eye on them. Doors hanging off, chewing gum stuck on coat hooks, bent door frames...I could go on.

They covered up that bit of incompetence with a 'refit' of a few buckets pouring water.
