Signalling problems at Chelmsford are causing 30 minute delays on Greater Anglia services between Witham and Shenfield this morning.

A Greater Anglia spokesman said: "A signalling problem is causing disruption at Chelmsford.

"Because of this, there are delays of up to 30 minutes between Shenfield and Witham. These delays will continue until further notice."

Greater Anglia reported the problem was no longer causing delays at 10.25am.

Elsewhere in Essex, there are delays on the West Anglia line and Stansted Express services after a person was hit by a train between Harlow Town and Broxbourne this morning.
