A nurse working at a residential home faces a fitness to practise hearing for eight separate allegations of misconduct.

Annette Aka-Dow is accused of failing to inform her manager at Croft House Nursing and Residential Home she was already the subject of fitness to practise allegations.

She was the subject of 65 complaints in her previous role working on old people’s wards at Colchester General Hospital between 2005 and 2007.

Misconduct allegations against Aka-Dow at Croft House, in Braintree Road, Great Dunmow, relate to her actions between April 2008 and August 2010.

The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) accuses Aka-Dow of submitting inaccurate and dishonest information relating to her reasons for leaving the Essex Rivers Healthcare NHS Trust.

She also faces two charges of shouting at female healthcare assistants, and one charge of taking an unauthorised absence from her night shift.

In January 2010 she is alleged to have “made inappropriate entries” in a resident’s records, relating to her colleagues.

She also faces numerous allegations of inappropriate care to one of the home’s residents in May 2010.

Aka-Dow will appear before an NMC hearing in Aldwych, London, on October 29.
