Halstead: Knitting effort for Poppy Appeal

A textile artist is raising money for war veterans with a click of her needles.
Laura Bragg has roped in volunteers from Halstead and as far as Surrey and Hampshire to knit poppies for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
The £5 poppies are so popular she has already raised £340.
The poppies are due to be sold at Hume’s bakery in Halstead High Street and Elite Hair Design in Swan Street, Sible Hedingham.
