Essex cricketer backs healthy kids call

AN ESSEX and England cricketer is urging kids to get active.

Ravi Bopara is backing a British Heart Foundation call for children to do regular exercise.

A recent survey by the charity found eight out of ten children nationally underestimate how much physical activity they need to stay healthy and just ten per cent of children know they need to 60 minutes of physical activity daily to keep fit.

Bopara, 27, said: “It’s shocking that childhood obesity is still such a big issue for the UK and so few children realise how active they need to be to stay fit.”
