A FISH and chip shop owner has travelled to Norway after becoming a regional winner.

David Henley, of Henley’s of Wivenhoe, took part in a three day educational trip as a finalist of the National Fish and Chip Awards 2013.

Henley’s of Wivenhoe has already claimed the regional prize in the independent takeaway award and national winners are announced in January.

Along with other regional finalists he was whisked off on an all-expenses paid trip to Alesund, Norway, to visit fisheries and a trawler.

David Henley said: “Travelling to Norway with my fellow finalists was exciting and the trip itself was very informative."
