A TEENAGER who skydived in memory of her boyfriend has tripled her fundraising target.

Rhiannon Griffiths, 17, jumped out of plane to raise cash for the Teenager Cancer Trust after her boyfriend Matt Sims died of leukaemia last November.

Despite initially hoping to raise £500 Rhiannon, of Riverside Way, Kelvdeon, has been overwhelmed with support and has so far raised £1,500.

Matt, a pupil at Coggeshall’s Honeywood Community Science School, was diagnosed with the disease in December 2010 and despite beating it the intensive treatment left him in hospital.

Rhiannon said: “I had been writing on his Facebook wall how I got to be where he is because I was so high.

“It was amazing, I loved it, but it was so scary."
