Armed robbery at Post Office

ARMED robbers have raided a Post Office in Holland-on-Sea.


Detectives are appealing for information after two men threatened a female postal worker at the Stratford Road Post Office with a handgun at about 4.30pm today.


They fled with thousands of pounds in a getaway car, a silver Vauxhall Vectra before the driver and the two men jumped out at Thorpe railway station.

They are believed to have headed off towards London.

 

Anyone with information call detectives at Clacton police on 101.

They were a bit silly to abandon the car and get on a train, since they now have themselves caught on numerous CCTV cameras on the railway.
