Girl knocked down by car in Colchester town centre

A SCHOOLGIRL was rushed to hospital after being knocked down by a car in Colchester.
The 11-year-old was outside the Wilkinsons store on St John’s Street just after 5pm last night when she collided with a blue Nissan Primera.
Paramedics were on scene within minutes and took her to Colchester General Hospital for treatment for head injuries.
Her injuries are not thought to be serious.
