Clacton carer could face jail

A CARER who stole the bank details of a patient in order to obtain a pay day loan has been warned she could be sent to jail.
Louise Wallace was found guilty of using Carolyn Adams-Hall’s bank details in order to get a loan worth £200 from Haymarket Lending Company.
When her short-term loan application was turned down because her partner Richard O’Linger was not a suitable guarantor, Wallace used Mrs Adams-Hall’s bank details in order to secure the loan.
But the fraudster was caught out when the money was sent to Mrs Adams-Hall’s bank account instead and was noticed by her husband John Hall, while he was shopping.
Wallace, 33, of Peter Bruff Avenue, in Clacton, was found guilty at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
She will be sentenced at the same court on October 10, after a pre-sentence report is compiled by probation officers.
A spokeswoman for Home Choice Care declined the opportunity to comment.
