Vulnerable man missing in Clacton

LIFEBOAT volunteers were called to help police find a vulnerable man who went missing from a hospital in Clacton.

The patient, 66, disappeared from the Peter Bruff ward at Clacton Hospital on Friday.

ClactonRNLI’s inshore lifeboat was called to help at 12.30am on Saturday, searching the shoreline from Clacton Golf Course to Vista Road.

The mobile coastguard unit also helped search the promenade.

Crew members were stood down at 2am, but the man is still missing and a police search is still underway.
