Colchester: Man arrested after dead dog found in bin

A MAN has been charged with causing unnecessary suffering to an animal after a dead dog was found in a bin.
Police were contacted shortly after 1am on Wednesday following reports a dog had died in Bardfield Road, Colchester.
Officers arrived and found a dead Jack Russell in a bin.
Later that day, a 31-year-old man from the town was arrested by police and charged with one count of causing unnecessary suffering to an animal.
He was released on police bail prior to his appearance at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, October 16.
