In today's Gazette: Stabbed man fights for life

In today's Gazette: A man was left fighting for hislife after he was stabbed in Highwoods, Colchester.

Police say a neighbour dispute lead to the 38-year-old's injuries. Three men and a woman were being questioned about the attack.

* A sailing prodigy needs help to achieve his dream of taking part in the 2020 Olympic games. Harry Chatterton, 11, goes to Philip Morant School in Colchester, and hopes to compete in the Cadet World Championship in Tasmania in December.

* Hoteliers have urged Colchester Council to turn down a bid for an 85-bed Premier Inn near Castle Park saying the town does not need it.

* Derelict shops in Dovercourt ravaged by fire have been demolished aft6er being coming a danger to the public.
