WATER users in Brightlingsea fear someone will die if jet ski users do not follow the rules of the waves.
Sailing club leaders, councillors, police and the harbour commission have joined forces to urge everyone on the water to be conscious of others.
Within the harbour there is a four knot speed limit, while an eight knot limit applies within 200 metres of a beach.
But regulars on the water say a significant minority of jet skiers are flouting the law and putting lives at risk.
