INSPIRATIONAL messages were sent skywards as a school in Colchester launched a national fundraising campaign.
The campaign, called the Red, White and Blue Day, will raise money for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, the RAF Benevolent Fund and the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity.
Schools across the country are being asked to take part, with children paying £1 to wear red, white and blue on October 12.
Montgomery Infant School and Nursery in Colchester won the chance to launch the annual fundraiser after former pupil Morgan Hornsby came runner-up in a poetry competition.
