A WOMAN has plucked up the courage to speak to police and try and identify her attacker after being robbed.

The lady, aged in her 50s, was robbed outside The Tanning Shop in Five Fields Court, Greenstead, Colchester on August 8 at 2pm.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: “The victim was pinned against her car as she was getting out and the man demanded money to let her go.
“She handed over £10.
“The offender then walked off and stood by the phone box near the library.”

Officers have released an e-fit of the suspect.

Anyone with information call Det Con Hannah Richardson on 101.

Why does it take 1½ months to issue an appeal for information like this? Or did the lady only report the offence to the police yesterday?
.
The police should issue such appeals in a maximum of 24 hours from the offence being reported to them.
