Dog's free pass to country show
4:16pm Friday 21st September 2012 in News
AN inspirational hound - and her owner - has been offered free entry to a game and country show.
Maddy, a labrador/retriever cross assistance dog, helps Alison Wyatt, of Winston Avenue, Colchester, who has Multiple Sclerosis.
She has been trained by the organisation Canine Partners and helps Alison with her daily chores including pulling her socks on and off, loading and unloading the washing machine and fetching items
beyond Alison’s reach.
The story in the Gazette touched the organisers of the Suffolk Robin Hood Game and Country Show and they have offered Maddy, Alison and her family free entry to the event.
The show, which is being staged at the Suffolk Showground at Trinity Park, Ipswich, on October 6 and 7, features a range of equestrian, dog and countryside events along with a have-a-go area and
children’s entertainments.
