Tiptree to support Essex Air Ambulance

A VILLAGE is going yellow in support of National Air Ambulance Week.

Several businesses in Tiptree will have yellow-themed displays to support the Essex Air Ambulance as part of the event, which runs from next week.

The air ambulance receives no government funding, relying on public donations, and during last year’s National Air Ambulance week raised £12,000.

People, schools and businesses are encouraged to hold a collection, dress up in yellow, or hold a yellow-themed event.

Sabi Blyth, Essex Air Ambulance fundraising coordinator, said: “Go Yellow is a really fun and exciting way to raise awareness of Essex Air Ambulance and help raise vital funds to keep the helicopter flying.

“You could do literally anything to take part, the more weird and wacky the ideas the better. We want everyone to get involved and take part and hope local communities like Tiptree will show their support and Go Yellow.

“We would love to hear what you are going to do so register to take part today.”
