Loot stolen in laundry basket

DETECTIVES are searching for a burglar who made a clean getaway after taking his loot in a laundry basket.

Between 4pm and 7pm on Monday the burglar took electrical items from a home in Bourne Road.

They also stole a white plastic laundry basket to carry the gear and are thought to have escaped via an alleyway leading to Winchester Road.

Anyone with information call Colchester police on 101.
