Man beaten up outside Moon and Starfish pub in Clacton

A YOUNG man was assaulted outside a town centre pub.

A 20-year-old from Jaywick has cuts to his face following a fight outside the Moon and Starfish pub in Clacton on Thursday, September 13.

A 48-year-old man from Clacton was arrested at around 9.10pm at the scene in Marine Parade East, Clacton, on suspicion of affray. He has been released on police bail until October 26, pending further enquiries.

A 19-year-old man from Clacton was arrested the following day on suspicion of assault and has also been released on bail until October 26.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them at Clacton police station on 101.
