Gun sighting turns out to be film prop
11:13am Saturday 15th September 2012 in News By Helen Barnett
AN ACTOR forgot he had finished shooting for the day when he walked into a pub with his prop gun.
Essex Police deployed its helicopter to circle the area around Haven Road, Colchester, when they received reports of a man with a gun on Friday, September 14.
Officers found the man had just finished his part in a Colchester film project Ten, a movie about the lives of soldiers returning to civilian life after leaving the Army, and had forgotten to remove the imitation weapon on his belt.
Firearms officers gave advice to the production team about carrying fake guns.

Why the helicopter (again)? Surely an 'incident' like that could be controlled from the ground?
any possable major incident needs cool clear observation,
you cant get that from behind a brick wall,
