Witnesses who saw teenager murdered must come forward
3:13pm Friday 14th September 2012 in News
CRUCIAL witnesses who saw a teenage student stabbed to death need to come forward for his family to get justice, a senior officer has announced.
Det Chief Insp Simon Parkes has praised the more than 60 people who attended a party who have already come forward.
But he called on those who are still withholding information and the teenagers of Colchester to tell the police what happened.
Jay Whiston, 17, of Aster Close, Clacton, died from a stab wound to the heart during a house party in Marlowe Way, Colchester, on Saturday, September 8.
Mr Parkes said: “I think there are still people who were at that party we want to speak to to provide significant information
"I am confident we will find out who did it but that confidence rests on the support of other partygoers.
“60 people have had the courage and there is nothing to prevent other witnesses doing so."
