Police have not found the knife used to kill Jay Whiston, 17, but recovered "a number" of other weapons from near the murder scene.

Detectives will renew their appeal for information about the killing in Marlowe Way, Colchester on Saturday.

So, if they found a number of other weapons, this suggests that a number of other people also had weapons and saw the prudence of discarding them quick. This seems like a scum on scum incident.
