Burglars ransack Colchester home

THIEVES stole jewellery and cash after ransacking a home in Colchester.

Burglars forced their way into the house, in Ipswich Road, between 10am and 11.30pm on Monday September 3.

They made off with a four figure sum of cash.

The victims had been attending a day at the Paralympics.

Investigating Officer, Dc Bryan Heath, said the burglars may have entered through the rear of the property via a wooded area.

He said: “Anyone who saw anything unusual, suspicious activity could hold the key to identifying who committed this crime.”

Police conducted house to house enquiries and forensic teams examined the area.

Anyone with information should call Colchester Police Station on 101.
