Circus will come to Brightlingsea carnival next year

ALL the fun of the circus will come to Brightlingsea as part of next year’s carnival.

Organisers of the annual event announced the theme for 2013 would be circus time.

This year’s carnival raised £900 for local community groups.

Chairman of the organising committee Tracey Barton said: “We were really pleased with the amount raised this year, and we hope the circus time theme will be fun and easy for children to get involved with.

“We now need to get down to some serious fundraising. Many of our car boot sales have been rained off this year, but we have some ideas such as cake sales to help raise funds.”

A provisional date for the 2013 carnival has been set as June 15.
