CHARITY'S FIRST COLCHESTER FUNDRAISER

A CAMPAIGN group which fights knife crime is holding its first charity fundraising event in Colchester.
KnifeCrimes.Org was set up by Ann Oakes-Odger after her son, Westley, 27, was killed at a cash machine in Greenstead in 2005.
Together with Victims’ Advocates, the campaign group is hosting a diner, dance and tribute night at the Weston Homes Stadium in Colchester next month.
Proceeds from the event will go to provide help and peer support to families and friends who have been bereaved as a result of murder or manslaughter.
