AN INDEPENDENT shop in Colchester has reached the final of a prestigious national competition.
Ambiance has been nominated as Womenswear Retailer of the Year in the Drapers Fashion Awards, run by the fashion trade magazine.
The boutique store, based in Crouch Street, will find out on November 21 if they have been crowned national champions by the industry experts judging the awards.
Owner Vicki Wheeler said: “Being shortlisted for the Drapers Awards 2012 is another milestone for Ambiance during a mind-blowing 12 months of achievements for the boutique.
“For 27 years, Ambiance has fought tooth and nail to never neglect our loyal customers and our sector of the market, in spite of challenging circumstances, and being shortlisted for this award serves as a shot in the arm for us in terms of morale and inspiration.
“Merely being recognised as a contender will drive us to continue to embrace our role as ambassadors in the Independent sector and to continue to make use of the resources such as Drapers which are so valuable for small businesses.”
