Children wanted for Colchester panto

YOUNGSTERS are invited to try out for the junior chorus in this year’s panto at the Mercury Theatre.
Auditions for Jack and the Beanstalk take place on Sunday September 23 where two teams of children will be chosen by writer and director Janice Dunn, musical director Graeme Du Fresne and choreographer Charlie Morgan.
The auditions will include tests of singing, dancing and acting and places must be booked in advance.
Application forms are available from the Mercury Theatre box office and online from tomorrow (Friday August 31).
The first 120 forms completed and returned to the Mercury by 5pm on Thursday September 20 will guarantee that young person an audition.
Candidates must be aged between 10 to 15 years old on Saturday January 12 2013 and must be available from the start of rehearsals on Monday November 5 until the end of the pantomime on Saturday January 12.
The panto runs from Friday December 7 and tickets can be booked by calling the box office on 01206 573948 or online at the website.
