Jet ski stranded on the Strood

A JET SKIER and passenger had to be towed to safety after becoming stranded in the Strood Channel off Mersea.
They were rescued by sailors onboard the yacht Kahuna who managed to get a line to the jet ski and towed it, and those onboard, to safety.
The West Mersea RNLI inshore lifeboat and Mersea coastguard were called at 6.17pm yesterday to assist but the jet ski had already been rescued.
