A FRUGAL baroness has raised thousands of pounds for charity by shunning sumptuous meals for bread and water.
Baroness Jenkin has taken part in the Live Below the Line challenge.
It saw her live on £1 a day for five days to raise awareness of the daily struggle endured by 1.4 billion people across the globe who live in extreme poverty.
Her efforts raised £23,000 for charity - putting her top of the global league of fundraisers.
