Maldon's annual community service award winner revealed

MALDON mayor Stephen Savage has announced the winner of an annual community service award.
Margaret Day, who has worked as an adviser for the town’s citizens advice bureau for 16 years, as well as providing voluntary transport to St Clare’s Hospice, also chaired first the Maldon Society and now the Maeldune Trust.
She will be presented with the Mayor’s Award for Service to the Community at the annual town meeting on April 24.
The meeting is being staged at Maldon Town Hall, in Market Hill, Maldon, from 7.30pm.
