A TRAIN company has apologised to its customers after only a month in charge.

Greater Anglia, which took over running trains through Colchester from National Express East Anglia in February, said its performance in its first month in charge of East Anglia had not been to the expected standard.

As well as highlighting some of its key failings on its website, the company has also listed ways it is hoping to combat future problems.

National Express East Anglia had its East Anglian franchise terminated three years early after it defaulted on another, the East Coast Main Line, in 2009.

Greater Anglia took over on February 5.
