Essex Air Ambulance has scored a boost to its fundraising after being adopted as a charity partner by Colchester United.

The partnership will help raise awareness of the life saving helicopter unit.

Among the benefits of the partnership are use of the hospitality facilities at Weston Homes Community Stadium, use of a box on a match day, a signed shirt and ball and free advertising in their match day programme for the whole season.

There will also be an exclusive charity collection at the match on Saturday. **September 10** Nina Benscher, Essex Air Ambulance fundraising manager, said: “It means a lot to the charity to have this support.

“Not only will it enhance both our profiles but it will enable us to raise much needed funds.

“Come on down and support the U’s and your air ambulance.”

The football club launched the new Charity Partnership Scheme last year, to help promote good causes.

The other chosen charities for this season are Canine Partners, Crossroads Care and Colchester Gateway Clubs.

Midfielder, Kemal Izzet, has been chosen as the player charity ambassador for the season.
