A PROSPECTIVE university student has questioned a leading academic following Essex University’s decision to increase its tuition fees.
The university is among those which has declared its intention to increase its fees to £9,000 a year for all students from next year.
Colchester County High School for Girls student Ella Passingham hopes to study history at university - and will be in the first group of students facing the increased fees.
Ella, 17, who lives in Colchester, questioned Prof Jules Pretty, the univeristy’s Pro-Vice-Chancellor about the decision to put up the cost of studying. To see the vodcast, visit www.essex.ac.uk/funding.
