A NEW £100,000 "one-stop shop" will be built in Northlands Park, Felmore.
Residents will soon be able to pay their bills, receive advice and hold meetings at the new community centre.
Basildon Council's cabinet gave the go-ahead for the resource centre at the former Felmore Area Housing Office.
More than 600 people a month are expected to use the facility, run by the council and community group Interlock.
Residents will also be able to use the centre to pay council tax bills and rent as well attend surgeries held by the police, Basildon MP Angela Smith and the Citizens' Advice Bureau.
