Continuing vandalism at a village playing field could lead to the removal of play equipment.
Fed up with constantly having to repair the roundabout at Mistley's Furze Hill, parish councillors at their meeting on Monday agreed the time had come to seriously consider taking it away.
Richard Horlock said the repairs were costing the village a fortune, claiming that within days of being repaired, the roundabout had been broken yet again.
Chairman Ian Rose agreed the roundabout had been repaired four or five times this year, the cost being about £100 each time.
Councillors decided the roundabout should be repaired once more.
But at the some time he asked the clerk to find out the cost of having it removed altogether and to report to the next meeting exactly what the repairs had cost so far this year.
