A 15-year-old eco-warrior is to appear in court today accused of trespassing.
Wildlife campaigner Christiana Tugwell and other youngsters who have set up camp in Hockley, have been summoned to Southend County Court.
Rochford Council, which has brought the case, claims the protesters are on the land without the correct licence.
Christiana and other campaigners set up camp at Etheldore Wood in protest at plans to build 66 homes on the site.
They claim the development will destroy the wildlife - despite assurances great crested newts on the site will be relocated. Christiana's mother Maria, who will also attend the hearing, is to ask for an adjournment.
