It is a busy weekend on the Schweppes Essex Senior League scene with most teams involved in two games in three days over the Bank Holiday.

On Monday, there is also the prestige League Charity Cup match in which last season's Harry Fisher Trophy winners, Saffron Walden, host the Pitsea outfit who won the title and League Cup last term, Bowers United.

Bowers precede that game with a home match against Southend Manor tomorrow, who host Concord Rangers on Monday.

Concord, who put up a great FA Cup fight against Ryman League East Thurrock United before going down in an away replay on Tuesday, have Leyton visiting Thames Road tomorrow.

Something has got to give at Gardiners Close tomorrow when Bees entertain Bury Football Academy with neither side having managed to avoid defeat in any match played so far. On Monday Bees travel to Brentwood for an 11am kick-off.

Hullbridge have a bonus tomorrow as they are due to be away to Woodford Town, but the game has been switched to Hullbridge's Lower Road ground.

Hullbridge will be in action on their own ground again on Monday when Burnham Ramblers visit.

The three remaining Senior League sides in the AXA-sponsored FA Cup are all busily making preparations for their vital first round qualifying games on Saturday week.

Bowers go to Arlesey Town with Southend Manor visiting Romford. Saffron Walden have home advantage with Hoddesdon Town being their visitors.

Hoddesdon disposed of another Senior League outfit, Burnham, 2-1 away in the preliminary round.
