Sam Morrison and Gary Moore both won third place trophies in the outdoor seasons largest international inter-club rollerspeed skating meeting, which was held in Zandvoorde, Belgium.

Eight skaters from the South Woodham Ferrers & Wickford Rollerspeed Skating Club, which is sponsored by ECL Consultants LTd, competed in a maximum of six races of varying distances, against skaters from Italy, France, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, England and Belgium, over the three days.

Rain interrupted the races on occasions, making the track too dangerous to race on, which meant that not all categories raced their six races.

Sam Morrison and Billy Moore raced in the miniemen boys category, with Sam finishing third overall after six races with results of sixth, second, third, third and third.

Billy came 14th out of a field of 24 skaters, of which there was a total of four English skaters, with results of 21st, 15th, 12th, 14th, 13th and 14th.

In the pupillen girls category, Chanelle Moore was again one of four English skaters, also in a field of 24. After a promising start, she finished 11th overall.

Three skaters from South Woodham competed in the pupillen boys category with one other English skater, who had five races.

Gary Moore picked up a third place trophy in a field of 22 skaters, where only one point separated second to fourth places. Gary had results of sixth, second, eighth, sixth and third.

Club mates Jonathan Wallis finished eighth (eighth, ninth, tenth and sixth), and Sam Vickers 15th ( 19th, 18th, 17th, 17th and 12th).

Sara Wallis was the only English skater in the kadatten girls category which had 21 competitors.

From the five races held, she had race positions of 21st, 21st, 20th, 19th and 20th to finish 20th overall.
