TV chef James Martin cooked up a storm when he whisked into Southend for a series of cookery demonstrations.
The popular chef, who usually sports his trademark bandana on Ready Steady Cook, kept youngsters captivated with top tips on how to rustle up a chocolate and ginger cheesecake.
Then it was the turn of adult customers at Waitrose, in Fossetts Way, to pick up a few hints as James made six different main courses and desserts.
