Rumours that Colchester celebrity Dermot O'Leary is poised to marry have been scotched.
A national newspaper claimed yesterday that the Big Brother presenter had agreed to tie the knot with 25-year-old TV producer Deborah Koppang.
But a spokesman for the former St Benedict's College pupil said the rumours were exaggerated. She confirmed Mr O'Leary, 31, was in a strong relationship with Miss Koppang, who works for Princess Productions, makers of the Channel Four shows Back to Reality and RI:SE.
But she insisted he was yet to pop the question and had no firm marriage ambitions.
O'Leary regularly returns to Colchester to visit his parents, Sean and Maria, and recently handed out prizes at a sixth form college PE awards evening.
