Two teenage girls were injured in an accident at Frinton railway gates.
Firefighters from Clacton, Frinton and Colchester went to the incident after a Ford Fiesta car and a Ford Focus car were involved in a collision at the entry to the crossing gates at 11.50pm on Saturday.
Two 18-year-olds from Frinton were taken to Colchester General Hospital suffering from minor injuries.
