Residents were left holding their noses as a result of another rubbish collection mix-up in Colchester.
Families in Salisbury Road were supposed to have their bins emptied on Thursday - but were still waiting in vain for the refuse collectors to arrive on Saturday afternoon.
Householder Rosemary King said she could not understand why the street had been missed out as collections in surrounding roads were made at the usual time.
"Normally, they come bright and early on a Thursday but they just haven't turned up at all," she said.
Colchester Council has blamed the recent rubbish chaos on "teething problems" resulting from the introduction of a new fleet of refuse trucks.
