Major repair work is set to take place soon on the A120 near Harwich, it has been revealed.

The Highways Agency is to put down a new surface on some sections and replace many of the missing cat's eyes.

Ramsey and Parkeston parish councillor Keith Tully said he had been given a letter by the agency, which detailed the work.

It says a work order has been made to repair five bays on the Wix section of the road. Extra patching and sealing of the road will also be carried out.

Work should begin towards the end of July.
