A student has died after plunging from the window of a 13th-floor flat at Essex University.
The 25-year-old's body was discovered at 5.30am yesterday on the ground beneath Bertram Russell Tower.
Police were called and established that the man had fallen from the 13th-floor window, near the top of the landmark accommodation block.
A spokesman said the incident was not being treated as suspicious. "There was no indication that anybody else was involved," he said.
The man's parents, who live in Essex, have been informed. Colchester Coroner's Office is expected to arrange an inquest into the death.
