With the bulk of last season's Chel-msford City squad having now agreed terms for next season, manager Steve Mosely is continuing to talk to potential new players with a view to adding strength to the side.
There will still be several new faces on view when pre-season starts on July 1, although one familiar person will be missing.
Player-coach Matt Jones has taken up a better offer to join Billericay Town as assistant manager to Justin Edinburgh and leaves City, where he has played over 208 games scoring 33 goals, for the second time.
"Matt was approached with a better offer that we couldn't match and decided to take it," said Mosely, who has no plans to bring in anyone else at this stage.
Jones returned to City last season after playing for Heybridge Swifts, Dagenham & Redbridge and Canvey Island.
