Police are appealing for information after a woman was killed in a car crash.
Victoria Hazelwood, 38, died early yesterday after a collision between two cars on the B1027 Brightlingsea Road north of Wivenhoe.
The accident happened at the junction with Elmstead Road, Wivenhoe.
Mrs Hazelwood's 31-year-old husband and six-month old baby were also in the car and were taken to Colchester Hospital but later discharged.
Mrs Hazelwood, of Cobham, Surrey, who was a front seat passenger, was certified dead at the scene.
The Black Chrysler cruiser in which the family were driving was involved in a collision with a green Renault 19 at midnight yesterday
A 19-year-old man, of Frating, driving the Renault 19, was also taken to Colchester General but was later discharged.
