Colchester: Helping hand for grieving mum

KIND donors have come to the aid of a grieving mother who appealed for help in laying her son to rest.

Kelly Knight's six-year-old son Bill Eastwood died after a wall collapsed on him as he tried to retrieve a football.

His family was devastated by the fatal accident which happened in the back garden of Bill's grandmother's home in Weston Road, Colchester.

But they have been unable to find closure as they could not afford to buy a headstone for Bill's grave.

Miss Knight appealed for help through the County Standard - either for advice or funds. And her call was answered.
