This is a vision of how Colchester's Roman circus site could look.
The artist's impression shows how the footprint could be marked out to show the whole of the circus site.
And some of the buried remains of the starting and entrances gates could be permanently exposed under a cover.
The Roman circus was discovered in 2004 - but there is nothing to show its location.
However, years of work by Colchester Archaeological Trust and Colchester Council curator Philip Wise have culminated with a masterplan which would allow the circus to be identified.
