An American fighter pilot who flew 50 missions from Boxted Airfield during the Second World War is set to return to his old base.
It will be the first time that Russ Kyler has visited the site in Langham since 1945.
To mark the occasion, the Boxted Airfield Historical Group has asked him to give a talk on his experiences during the war, when he was a member of the 56th Fighter Group.
The event will be held at Boxted Village Hall in Cage Lane on Monday, August 3 at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £5 and are available from boxted-airfield.com or by calling Richard Turner on 01206 865275.
